The ROBUSTOO project partner Bisy, held the first Minisymposium on Peroxygenase Discovery, Engineering, Production and Application on 26 June in Bad Blaumau, Austria.
In particular, the topics covered during the meeting were the molecular enzymology of porphyrin-binding dimeric α + β barrel proteins, UPO production in Escherichia Coli as soluble/active enzymes for structural and engineering studies, application of UPOs in organic (asymmetric) synthesis, CYP catalysis employing peroxygenases and the laboratory evolution of a fungal peroxygenase to elucidate structure-function relationships.
The symposium fostered insightful discussions and showcased results of different research, reflecting our commitment to driving innovation in this field.
